RESPECT YOUR OPPONENT: Mallorca full-back Pablo Maffeo apologises to Real Madrid superstar Vinicius for thoughtless tackle: ‘I have no problem with him’πŸ‘πŸ‘

ο»Ώο»ΏLast night, Real Madrid played Mallorca in their first La Liga game of the new season. The game was very tense.

After a great win over Atalanta in the UEFA Super Cup, Real Madrid was eager to get off to a good start in La Liga. The game ended in a 1-1 tie, though, thanks to good defense from Mallorca.

The fight between Vinicius Jr. and Pablo Maffeo was one of the tense ones at Estadi de Son Moix.

The tough defense of the Mallorca fullback against the Brazilian’s talent has become a common trait in recent games between these two La Liga rivals, and last night was no different.

Vinicius is talked about by Maffeo.

They got into a fight early in the game when the Real Madrid ace pushed the other player without reason. During the first half, things got worse until Maffeo made a careless move on the Brazilian player that could have gotten him sent off.

When asked about it by the media after the game, the Mallorca back said that he talked to Vinicius during a water break to calm things down.

“Before the match, I told Vinicius to drop the nonsense because it didn’t matter what he did.” “We were cool.”

The fullback even said he was sorry for the rough tackle: “I told Vinicius I was sorry for the foul.” It was yellow, and I took it. It wasn’t strong. There’s nothing wrong with Vinicius.

Finally, Maffeo finished the interview on a good note by saying he was ready to forget about the rivalry when they weren’t on the pitch. “I trust the people who say Vinicius is a good person.”

Real Madrid was lucky that the Brazilian star didn’t get hurt too badly; he played all 88 minutes that night. When Real Valladolid plays Real Madrid later this week, Vinicius is likely to start.
