BAD NEWS: Gabriel Jesus to Undergo MRI Scan on Injured Groin as Arsenal Worry Striker May Face Lengthy Absence

Eddie Nketiah’s injury could have a significant impact on his future.

A fear is that Gabriel Jesus may be in for a prolonged hospital stay, therefore he is scheduled for an MRI.

Groin injury kept the 27-year-old Arsenal striker from playing in yesterday’s 2-0 victory over Aston Villa.

Jesus, who played the final five minutes against Wolves the previous Saturday, began to feel the pressure in training two days before the trip to Villa Park.

Also, Mikel Arteta disclosed that he is worried about his No. 9, who finished the previous season with four goals in 27 Premier League games.

“Unfortunately, just at the end of the training session on Thursday, he felt something in his groin,” the Gunners manager stated.

“We must evaluate him.

To see, an MRI scan is required.”However, he was unavailable for the match. We must determine [if this is a permanent harm].

“We’ll probably find out the results on Sunday or Monday to determine whether it will take a few days or weeks. We’re not sure.”

And Eddie Nketiah’s future may be affected by such outcomes.

The striker was deemed unnecessary at the Emirates and was rumoured to be heading to Nottingham Forest for £30 million.

However, Arteta might be forced to hold onto the Englishman if Jesus is out for a long portion of the season.

Kai Havertz has started up front for Arteta in both of his team’s opening games this year. “At the moment, Eddie is our player,” Arteta continued. He is devoted to us greatly.”He’s here, and he wants to be here with us, regardless of the noise.”

He’s overjoyed that we prevailed in the match.”

Arsenal defeated Villa to maintain their perfect start to the Premier League season with all three points.

Thomas Partey and Leandro Trossard scored the goals to seal the win.

However, David Raya received a lot of credit for his incredible miracle save that kept Ollie Watkins out.Jesus' injury could see Eddie Nketiah's transfer to Nottingham Forest collapseJesus’ injury could see Eddie Nketiah’s transfer to Nottingham Forest collapseCredit: GettyArsenal have a tricky start to the seasonArsenal have a tricky start to the season
