In a video that showcases his amazing physique transformation, Mesut Ozil has demonstrated his progress over the past year.
Since his retirement in March 2023 at the age of 34, the former star of Real Madrid and Arsenal has not played in the league.
Since then, Ozil has committed himself fully to the gym, and during the past year, he has made some quite remarkable progress.
Given that he frequently shares videos and images on social media, even former Madrid teammate Cristiano Ronaldo has expressed admiration for his intense gym regimen.
In a recent social media post, his personal trainer, Alper Aksac, has posted a video which shows Ozil during skinnier times when he first started focusing on building up his body muscle to today where he possesses an unrecognisable frame compared to the peak of his playing career.

“One years (sic) challenge,” was the caption Aksac used when sharing the video.
Ozil’s physique transformation video demonstrates his amazing six pack, biceps, chest and shoulders, indicating that his workouts have been primarily focused on muscle building.
Former teammates have noticed his change and have left comments on his prior posts.
Among those who have commented on his pictures is his former teammate at Arsenal, Bacary Sagna, who made the joke, “Finally getting like me.”
Ronaldo showed his support for his former Real Madrid teammate Ozil after the latter uploaded a video of himself carrying a weighted sledge up and down a gym’s length while using battle ropes.
‘Always stay ready, therefore you don’t need to get ready,’ wrote the 35-year-old, who played at Los Blancos with Ronaldo from 2010 to 2013.
‘Sand timer’ and ‘100’ emojis were also added by him to the post, leading some fans to speculate that he might be thinking about playing football again.
Ronaldo wrote, “Bro not bad,” and praised his strenuous workout, complete with a winking emoji.

Additionally, Ozil played for teams like Fenerbahce, Werder Bremen, Schalke, and Real Madrid.
In his eight years with the Gunners, Ozil made over 250 appearances across all competitions after arriving for £42.5 million from Real Madrid in the summer of 2013.
He was a member of Germany’s team that won the 2014 World Cup and scored 23 goals in 92 appearances for the national team.
He joined Fenerbahce after leaving Arsenal, and he played a brief stint at Istanbul Basaksehir to cap off his career.
