If Odegaard is unable to attend Derby, Mikel Arteta has a number of choices.
In a concerning injury setback ahead of Sunday’s derby against Tottenham, ARSENAL player Martin Odegaard was seen using crutches to enter a private jet.
As the Gunners captain was representing Norway against Austria, he had a hit to the ankle.

When it became evident that Odegaard could not go on, his pregnant girlfriend Helene Spilling, who was among the crowd, appeared anxious.
Eventually, teammates like Erling Haaland consoled him as he left the pitch in tears.
And according to Norwegian physician Ola Sand, Odegaard is now a serious question for Arsenal’s crucial matchup against rival Spurs this coming weekend. “He is on his way to London and will have an MRI there later today,” Sand said.
“(My evaluation?) We’ll have to wait and see what Arsenal discovers, but other than a serious overreach.”On Tuesday morning, the dramatist left Norway’s camp and headed back to London.Odegaard returned to the city on a private plane so that Arsenal’s medical team could fully evaluate him. However, the ace needed crutches to get around, so the signals are not promising.Accompanied by an assistant, Odegaard seemed to wince as he neared the steps of the aircraft. And as his captain gets ready for scans to find out the extent of his injury, Mikel Arteta will be hoping for good news.8Odegaard went down after a 50/50 with Christoph Baumgartner8It soon became clear he could not continue8Pregnant partner Helene Spilling looked concerned in the standsNorway boss Stale Solbakken made a bizarre joke about Odegaard’s injury
Declan Rice is already out of commission for the Spaniard due to suspension.
Mikel Merino, who signed with Arsenal this summer, has been out for several months due to an unusual shoulder injury he suffered during his first training session.
After Stale Solbakken, the manager of Norway, made an inappropriate remark about Odegaard’s defeat on Monday night, Arteta is likely to be even more reserved about the matter.
“It looked really painful in the locker room,” Solbakken remarked. I noticed that he was seated with the physiotherapists surrounding him, preventing him from moving forward.
“It is an ankle sprain, as far as we know. Football players know that, with any luck, things can work out OK—that is, provided the ligaments are not ripped.
“But I am not really sure Arteta will call me tonight to praise me.”
Odegaard’s probable absence from the derby against Spurs means Arsenal will probably need to reorganise their lineup.
Rice and Merino appeared destined to be replaced by Thomas Partey and Jorginho.
And in Odegaard’s absence, Kai Havertz might be demoted to a supporting position.
Raheem Sterling could then be able to make his debut following his deadline-day loan deal from Chelsea.
However, Arteta does have other choices, as defender Oleksandr Zinchenko and rookie Ethan Nwaneri may potentially fill in.
