After he went over the ball with his studs, Timber caught him on the ankle, resulting in a yellow card from referee Jarred Gillett.
According to Sky Sports pundit Jamie Redknapp, the Arsenal player was “lucky” to avoid receiving a red card; other referees would have dismissed him.
“It’s an unusual action because he does go over the top of the ball,” he remarked.
