Thanasis Antetokounmpo made the ceremonial toss Friday before the Brewers’ matchup with the New York Mets.

In the buildup to that moment, 20-year-old Brewers phenom Jackson Chourio emerged from the dugout for a quick chat before it was time to get to work.

Giannis made it a family affair by bringing along his two sons, Liam and Maverick, to watch their uncle receive the adoration he and his family have earned in Milwaukee.

Thanasis, who is currently not on an NBA roster but has developed a presence in the podcasting world, has been with the Bucks the previous five seasons. He was part of the 2021 championship team alongside his superstar brother.

Giannis, who recently got married, bought a minority stake in the Brewers about three years ago.

On Friday, he met the other international phenom that is just beginning to make a name for himself in town — Brewers rookie right fielder Jackson Chourio.

The Venezuelan 20-year-old and Greek 29-year-old posed for photos, which someday could be looked upon as a historic meet-and-great that led to years of legendary play and championship rings in Milwaukee.

We can hope, of course.

Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo visited American Family Field for Brewers game vs. the New York Mets.

Giannis also mingled with other Brewers players and staff, including manager Pat Murphy, who led the Brewers to division title in his first year at the helm.

Giannis joined the Brewers’ ownership in 2021, the team’s first new individual investor since the club passed from Bud Selig’s family to financier Mark Attanasio in 2004.

“This is a dream come true for a kid from Sepolia, Athens, Greece, born from immigrant parents,” Antetokounmpo said that day. “I could have never imagined I would be in this position.”
