Bukayo Saka, an Arsenal teammate, has been praised by Gabriel Martinelli as “one of the best players in the world right now.”
Saka scored one goal and provided two assists in Arsenal’s 3-1 comeback victory over Southampton on Sunday, extending his incredible success from the beginning of the season.
At the Emirates, Cameron Archer had given the Saints a startling lead. But in the closing 13 minutes, Saka scored a goal of his own to seal the victory after laying up both Kai Havertz and Martinelli to make it 2-1.
Saka has two goals and seven assists in just seven games; the latter puts him within 13 points of the single-season records held by Thierry Henry and Kevin De Bruyne.
Following the game, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta said of Saka, “He has the capacity to change games, to decide games, like many other players.” “Players sometimes have to create those moments if they want to be at the top, and he’s definitely done that today.”
Martinelli calls Bukayo Saka “one of the best in the world.”
Martinelli followed Arteta in praising Saka, whom he regards as one of the best players in the world at the moment.
According to Martinelli, “We know the areas that we need to go when someone opens the ball up” (via Arsenal’s official website). “I was there, and it was an incredible ball from B. It was a great moment for me and a fantastic goal. I’m quite pleased with the outcome, and I just tried to write it down.
We’re glad to have him here as one of the captains since he’s a really great man too. He is among the top players in the world at the moment; he is amazing.
