David Alaba, an Austrian international football player, is currently playing for Real Madrid. Alaba has had an illustrious career, having won eleven league titles and three Champions Leagues while playing for the Spanish powerhouses and Bayern Munich. Outside of the field, Alaba has established herself in the fashion world, regularly spotting Europe’s top designers on the front row. This season, Alaba went to a number of Paris Fashion Week shows, including those by Wales Bonner, Rhude, and Ami. In the latter case, he hosted a post-show dinner to commemorate the English designer’s most recent collection.

What caught your attention during Paris Fashion Week?
For me, it was the Wales Bonner show, then the dinner Grace and I were hosting.
Which outfit from the Wales Bonner show was your favorite?
The pairing of the pale denim leggings and the deep blue sequined leather jacket had me completely smitten.
Designer brands are incorporating football into their collections with ever-greater creativity. Off White, Martine Rose, and Balenciaga recently designed their own uniforms, and Botter made their Adidas Predators debut on the runway. What are your thoughts on the relationship between fashion and football?
.
I do think favorably about this relationship. Conversely, the influences may also be seen in football; we worked with Y3 last year at Real Madrid. I have a deep love for fashion, and I can confirm that many of my colleagues are as passionate about it as I am, often attending fashion weeks.
Regarding your own style, what would you say?
I’m not sure whether this has a name; it all seems like second nature to me. What does it feel like to wear this outfit? I’m very flexible here as well; I don’t follow a set schedule.
Apart from you, who do you think is the most stylish member of the Real Madrid team’s locker room?
From my perspective, Camavinga!
