In Sao Goncalo, the 22-year-old’s hometown in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, he went back to his former school, Odete Sao Paio.
At the unveiling of the Vinicius Sports Centre, which bears his name, the new No. 7 for the Los Blancos stole the show, forever altering his connection to his hometown.
