Hammed Kudus went from being a hero to a zero on a terrible day for West Ham.
The winger for West Ham was sent off against Tottenham after a crazy fight in the London derby on Saturday.
Kudus was told to leave because he hit Micky van de Ven in the face.
It happened after they fought over the ball in the middle of the field, with West Ham behind 4-1.
The 24-year-old hit Richarlison with a flying arm in the middle of a fight, knocking the Spurs forward to the ground.
Also, Pape Matar Sarr tried to keep things quiet, but Kudus lost his temper, and Sarr looked like he got hit in the face.
Van de Ven was sent to jail for his part in the fight.
Andy Madley, the referee, first gave Kudus a yellow card, but then he looked at the VAR screen again.
He changed the ruling to a straight red, which meant the Ghanaian had to take a bath right away.
The choice, which was made with only minutes left in North London, didn’t go over well with TNT Sports commentator Ally McCoist.
McCoist said, “I think I’m old school.”
“But just book him and let’s get on with the game.”
But reporter Peter Crouch on the field didn’t agree. He said the West Ham star “had to go.”
When the game was over, Hammers manager Julen Lopetegui was upset and said, “This is the kind of behavior we need to stop.”
“We are losing and we have to avoid this kind of behaviour.”
Kudus scored the first goal at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, but the home team made an amazing comeback.
Before the break, Dejan Kulusevski evened things out to calm the crowd down.
And in the second half, Yves Bissouma, Son Heung-min, and an own goal by Alphonse Areola put the Hammers out of the game.
