Jude Bellingham has added another award to his already long list of accomplishments. This comes right after he scored an amazing goal that won the game against Barcelona over the weekend. Bellingham won the Breakthrough of the Year award at the Laureus World Sports Awards, which were held at the Palacio de Cibeles in Madrid.
Bellingham quietly accepted the award and said, “I’m delighted.” He was grateful for the recognition. Just being here was an honor. What an honor it is to be named Laureus Breakthrough. I want to thank my family, friends, and most of all the people at Real Madrid who have helped me this year. Being here with these amazing players is an honor. Before I go home tonight, I hope I can learn something from them.
“It’s been a good week for the club and on a personal level,” Bellingham said, reflecting on recent wins for himself and the team respectively. “I’m always happy when my team wins.” After the Clásico and the first 120 minutes in Manchester, I’m a little tired. This award makes me feel a little better. This club is unique. It’s the best thing that ever happened to me to sign with Real Madrid. It’s the best thing about 2023. It makes me happy to be able to play here every day and be around such wonderful people.
Bellingham’s life has changed since he joined Real Madrid. It was the best moment of his career so far. “Going to Real Madrid is the best thing that’s ever happened to me,” he said. Bellingham stressed how important his journey was, saying that he was thankful for the chance to represent the club and for being in a helpful environment.
The Golden Boy Award and the Kopa Trophy were already given to Bellingham this season, and this new award makes it even better.
