According to the Dubrovnik Times (Croatia), Inter Miami Club President, former player David Beckham, has successfully convinced star midfielder Luka Modric. He agreed to join the team to play with Messi.

“David Beckham really wants Modric to play with Messi at Inter Miami. During a recent meeting in Croatia, the former player successfully convinced the 38-year-old veteran midfielder who is playing for Real Madrid. However, Modric will only come to Inter Miami in early 2024 or in the summer when his contract with Real Madrid expires,” the Dubrovnik Times said.

“Modric is feeling very disappointed with his position at Real Madrid. Because he is currently only playing a reserve role, or playing for about 1 half. Coach Ancelotti is gradually leaning towards using young players like Camavinga, Jude Bellingham or Tchouameni in Real Madrid’s midfield. Modric is considering the possibility that he can join Inter Miami earlier next year to play for the 2024 season, if the current situation at Real Madrid still does not improve,” the Dubrovnik Times shared.

According to the US press, David Beckham wants to strengthen Inter Miami to maintain competition for championships in the 2024 season, including participating in the CONCACAF Champions Cup from the round of 16.

Inter Miami is currently too dependent on the trio of Messi, Jordi Alba and Busquets. These veteran stars have played too much recently, causing them to be overloaded so far.
