The powerful people at La Liga giants Barcelona are not giving up on their search for a young midfielder.

Estadio Deportivo told Mundo Deportivo that, pointing out that the player in question is Dário Essugo.

Also, Essugo has been making waves in Spanish football in the first few months of the 2024–25 season.

The all-around defender quickly became an important member of Diego Martínez’s team after joining Las Palmas on loan from his home club Sporting CP.

So far, Essugo has made eight starts in La Liga and has fully impressed everyone who has seen him play.

And, as was already said, Barcelona is one of the clubs that has taken notice of the 19-year-old’s early-season form.

Reports from MD say that Barcelona made an offer for Essugo in the summer, but Sporting turned it down.

Deco and his team are still keeping an eye on Essugo because they are even more sure that the Portuguese player has what it takes to become a star. They plan to make another offer to him in the future.
