Lionel Messi was a mascot for Inter Miami on Tuesday, and he went out with DJ Khaled’s young son to comfort him before his first game.
Asahd, who is seven years old, started crying when he was lined up next to Messi. It seemed to be because of the noise that met the team as they walked out onto the field at the DRV PNK Stadium.
While Messi was calming down, he saw young Asahd and went to check on him. Asahd gave Messi a thumbs up.
Later, DJ Khaled posted a video of Messi walking his son out onto the field before the game. He wrote, “I’m so proud of my son!” God bless you, @leomessi!
When the game started, Messi quickly showed his mean side. Before the game, he was more emotional.
During the first 22 minutes, he scored twice to help his new team, Inter Miami, beat Atlanta United 4-0.
His first goal came from an assist from Sergio Busquets. He ran through on goal, hit the post with his first shot, and then scored when the ball bounced off the post.
Atlanta failed to clear a pass into the penalty area, which led to his second goal. After the break, new partner Robert Taylor scored twice to make it a resounding win.
While he is still getting fit, Messi played 78 minutes in his second game for the team.
The second Messi game took place on Tuesday at Miami’s DRV PNK Stadium. DJ Khaled and famous people like P Diddy and Camilla Cabello were there.
