The leaders at Barcelona have identified a defensive player at La Liga foes Rayo Vallecano as a player they might want to sign.
That’s what Marca, which was cited by Diario Sport, says. They say that the Blaugrana are interested in Andrei Ratiu.
At this point, everyone knows that Deco and his transfer team have made getting new full-backs a top goal for next season.
The same goes for Hansi Flick, who has made it clear that he is unhappy with the choices he has for pairing Jules Koundé and Alejandro Balde.
Then, behind the scenes at Camp Nou, a short list of targets was made.
This week, the name of the guy named Ratiu was added to that list.
For those who don’t know his name, Ratiu is a 26-year-old Romanian player who did great for his country at the summer European Championships.
The player who used to play for Villarreal is in great shape and has continued to show that he is one of Rayo Vallecano’s best players.
Sport says that these kinds of actions have caught the attention of the aforementioned Barcelona.
But teams from all over Europe are also interested in Ratiu. Antonio Conte’s Napoli, who are currently top of Serie A, is one of them.
The defender’s deal with Rayo has a €25 million release clause, but this amount is thought to be negotiable.
