Barcelona has expressed interest in Orlando Pirates star Relebohile Mofokeng. An insider informed Soccer Laduma that coaches from the Barcelona B team have been monitoring him closely.
“They have been following him and have made inquiries through their contacts in the PSL, including some coaches they know well, asking about the player,” the source revealed. “He has the potential to play in some of Europe’s top leagues, and the feedback on their inquiries has been positive.”
Nkota is the ‘Next Mofokeng’
Talented teenage winger Mohau Nkota scored a brace as Pirates kicked off their Caf Champions League campaign with a 2-1 victory over Belouizdad. Nkota found the net in the 5th and 27th minutes, while Khanyisa Mayo scored for the Algerian hosts. Relebohile Mofokeng, now a relative veteran at 20, assisted both of Nkota’s goals.
Trio Still Out for Orlando Pirates
Injured players Olisa Ndah, Zakhele Lepasa, and Goodman Mosele remain sidelined for Jose Riveiro’s squad. However, seven players have returned to training. The Sea Robbers’ next challenge is a Caf Champions League match against Al Ahly on Saturday, December 7, following their unexpected defeat to Stellenbosch in the Betway Premiership.
