Speaking in an interview, Musiala claimed that he picked the number 10 since it was worn on the field by his favorite FC Barcelona players, Lionel Messi, Neymar, and Ronaldinho.
“I grew up during the time of Messi, Neymar, and Ronaldinho. “I’ve always wanted to wear the number 10, and they all wore it,” Musiala stated.
Even though the 21-year-old Bayern Munich star acknowledged that he formerly loved France, Juventus, and Zinedine Zidane as a child, he reiterated that his favorite players were “without a doubt Messi and Ronaldinho.” But Messi is unquestionably his top idol.
Messi is admired by a young Bayern player.
I have always found him fascinating and greatly admire him. I watched Leo and Neymar play as a child. They are my favorites because they motivated me to play football and taught me a lot.
Every time I watched Leo score a goal or Neymar perform a feat, I learnt something new. After that, I would try to mimic them outside in the garden. I’ve always liked them,” Musiala said.
“I don’t think I can compare anything to Messi and it’s almost an impossible task,” the German stated, indicating that he was not prepared to be compared to the Argentine superstar. I believe it is pointless to compare myself to Leo or any other player.
Neymar and Messi teach Musiala how to play football.
Musiala, who has won four Bundesliga titles and one Champions League with Bayern Munich, was the team’s youngest player ever in 2020.
The German player maintains that he still has a ways to go before he can follow in Lionel’s eight-time Ballon d’Or footsteps, but he believes that his everyday improvement may lead him there.
