HEROES IN TIME: Denver Nuggets’ Jokic, Milwaukee Bucks’ Giannis leading in 1st fan returns of NBA All-Star voting

Denver Nuggets star center Nikola Jokic and Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo lead the first fan returns for the 2025 NBA All-Star voting, dominating the Western and Eastern Conference frontcourts, respectively.

Jokic, a regular All-Star, garnered 1.42 million votes, while Antetokounmpo leads all players with 1.71 million votes. The Oklahoma City Thunder’s Shai Gilgeous-Alexander topped West guard votes with 1.05 million, and LaMelo Ball of the Charlotte Hornets leads East guards with 947,000 votes.

Houston Rockets center Alperen Sengun, from Turkey, also made waves, securing sixth place in the West frontcourt rankings with over 314,000 fan votes.

Fan votes make up 50% of the decision for All-Star starters, with the remaining influence split equally between NBA players and media.

The NBA will provide further updates on January 9 and 16, with voting closing on January 20. Starters will be revealed on January 23, followed by the reserve players on January 30.

San Francisco’s Chase Center, home of the Golden State Warriors, is set to host the 74th NBA All-Star Game on February 16.
