Nikola Jokic delivered another dominant performance with 20 points, 14 rebounds, 10 assists, and three blocks in just three quarters as the Denver Nuggets cruised to a 113-100 win over the Orlando Magic on Sunday night.
Christian Braun contributed 20 points and 11 rebounds, while Jamal Murray added 19 points, and Michael Porter Jr. chipped in 15 points and six boards for the Nuggets, who extended their road winning streak to six games.
Wendell Carter Jr. led Orlando with 16 points and 13 rebounds, and Anthony Black came off the bench to provide 14 points and five assists.
Nuggets: Despite 20 turnovers and shooting just 7-of-25 from three-point range, Denver shot 52% from the field. Jokic, ranked second in the NBA in three-point percentage (47.1%), didn’t attempt a single three-pointer but notched his 18th triple-double of the season.
Magic: Hampered by injuries to key players like Jalen Suggs and Goga Bitadze, Orlando lost its fifth game in six outings. The Magic, boasting the NBA’s second-ranked defense in points allowed per 100 possessions, have given up 122, 121, and 113 points in their last three games.
Murray closed the third quarter with 10 straight points in a 1:35 stretch, turning an 83-77 Denver lead into a 16-point cushion. Three of Murray’s baskets during this surge came from Jokic assists.
