Nikola Jokic registered his 18th triple-double this season with 20 points, 14 rebounds, and 10 assists, while Christian Braun contributed 20 points and 11 boards as the visiting Denver Nuggets defeated the Orlando Magic 113-100 on Sunday night.

Jokic, leading the NBA in triple-doubles, hit 7-of-9 shots and didn’t play the fourth quarter. Jamal Murray added 19 points, Michael Porter Jr. scored 15, and Russell Westbrook chipped in 12 as Denver secured its sixth straight road win.

Peyton Watson blocked three shots for the Nuggets but exited in the second quarter after taking a hit to the head, not returning.

Wendell Carter Jr. paced the Magic with 16 points and 14 rebounds. Anthony Black contributed 14 points, Tristan da Silva and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope added 12 each, and Paolo Banchero and Jonathan Isaac scored 10 apiece. Orlando, missing multiple key players, has now lost three straight games.

Missing Jalen Suggs (back), Gary Harris (hamstring), Franz Wagner (reconditioning), and Goga Bitadze (concussion protocol), the short-handed Magic showed early promise.

Orlando held a 63-60 advantage on da Silva’s dunk with 8:03 left in the third, but Denver took over. Westbrook’s layup and assist to Braun for a 3-pointer, followed by Braun’s flurry during a 14-2 run, pushed Denver to a 74-65 lead.

A Trevelin Queen layup cut Orlando’s deficit to six, but Denver restored an 11-point margin, only for Banchero’s three-point play to reduce it to 83-77. Murray closed the quarter with 10 points in the final 1:35, securing a 93-77 lead.

The Nuggets extended their lead to 103-82 early in the fourth on Julian Strawther’s 3-pointer. Braun’s layup with 6:24 left increased it to 24 as Denver coasted to victory.

Despite leading by 10 in the second quarter, Orlando saw Denver tie it at 49 on a Westbrook layup before the Nuggets carried a 54-52 lead into halftime.
